My Splits Blog - 01-27-2010, 04:04 AM

Hi Guys,

I've started a blog to document my training using the elastic steel method to achieve the splits. I'm hoping it will help keep me motivated and also give some documented results on how long it takes an average inflexible guy to get there. There seems to be huge differences in the amount of time quoted from 2 months to 2 years, I expect to be somewhere in between.

Check it out if you are interested at

and feel free to offer support or laugh at my starting photos which I just posted. Hope you enjoy it.

I checked out your blog. I'll check it out again after 6 months. I expect to see a beautiful full front split. Then a side split after another 6 months -). That's just a guess. To me it doesn't matter how long one gets there. The process of getting there is so much fun - feeling your body grow strong and flexible, the challenge, crawling out of bed early to work out, staying up late, the sweat and the pains haha. Enjoy!

Excellent stuff. I will check in on your blog to see how you are getting along.

I also have a blog, although I can't post a link yet (I haven't posted enough). Mine is about training to fight in my first full contact karate tournement and the ES method is heavily influencing some of my decisions, definately flexibity and in the not so distant future kick specific training.

I will stick a link from my blog to your blog too - should increase your traffic. The rules of my blog make it impossible for me to advertise but I make sure that I sereptitiously refer people to ES, et al.

Sorted, if you get any traffic coming from Ryotoken at Wordpress that's my blog. I'll stick a link on in time.
