If you want to isolate just flexibility, omit strength, balance and torso factors, here is the flexibility requirement for the height of the kick.
Front line kicks forward- kicking leg extensors, supporting leg flexors.
Front line kicks sideways-kicking leg extensors and addutors, supporting leg adductors
Side line kicks with correct turn out-supporting leg extensors and adductors, kicking legs adductors play only small role in most people.
