hi all,
just thought i would give a quick wee post as iv'e not been on in a while. after i broke my arm i found it really hard to get motivated again after it healed up so i kinda stopped doing my routine. i decided to do it last night and to my suprise i'm not that far away from where i was before i stopped so hopefully the cold winter nights will motivate me to get going again.

how's everyone else's progress going??

hi dave,

that might actually help me as my right hamstring had a twinge last year and i fell over performing a side kick with the left leg. it has never really healed properly and i think it may just be something to do with the strength as i can still stretch down it without pain but when i put weight on it to kick with the right it can get a bit dodgy sometimes. do you think the hamstring sequence would help??

cheers

sean

p.s are you the same dave from martialartsplanet??

Yes it will help without a shaddow of a doubt. It sounds like you could be speaking of scar tissue which needs breaking down. If this is the case then it requires deep tissue massage. The hamstring flexibillity system is armed which plenty of tools specific for deep tissue massage.
No i'm not on martial arts planet. Is there a dave tkd on there too?

Hi !

First of all, just so you won't be surprised by the pics, I'm 16. I'm currently working on my left and middle splits, but I could have had my left split since a while if I had been doing my exercises equally on each side. Doesn't matter that much but I'll work on it.

I have a question for those who have a full or almost full middle split: what do you think is the best stretch to progress fast ? I've been wondering also, is the butterfly stretch using some other muscles that aren't involved in the straddle ? Because I personnally find the butterfly stretch rather uncomfortable compared to the straddle.

So I've only took pics of my right split, but I have almost my left split. My middle split is at about 145 degrees.

Since my knee cannot overextend, the space between it and the floor cannot be shortened unless I roll my hip (then my hips wouldn't be squared).

For some reason my hamstrings must be kinda flexible because I don't find this uncomfortable...

Well that's about it...

Btw: I may have mispelled something, my first language is french. =S

Nice front spits Crystal.

Hows everyone else doing? I've been away setting up my club and not posted here at all. I'm just checking in to see if anyone else had made any progress.

Let me know

Cheers,

James.

No need to worry James, I have been away also.

Guys, I am sorry I left you all for a while. I needed to get some things done and unfortunatly stopped my split training. However, what I have been focusing on was well worth it. In the coming months I will be dustiing off my DVD and book and getting back into it. Only now I am feeling and looking so much healthier.

Paul, this gift you have shared with us all is wonderful. ES is fantastic

Nice to see new members too
